On the 20th of January, we announced our 2020 edition of Techpoint Build.
One of the reasons this is the largest startup and technology gathering in West Africa is the Pitch Storm segment, which we are happy to announce for 2020.

Pitch Storm is a startup competition where the most qualified startups compete against each other for the coveted equity-free prize money, amongst other prizes.

Pitch Storm 2020 will be the third straight showdown since its inauguration, with 20 startups across West Africa participating in previous editions.

Nine Nigerian startups took part in the inaugural edition from which Placement -- a platform that allows job seekers to find paid internship opportunities in Nigeria -- emerged winner of the ₦1 million prize money. Pitch Storm 2019 had different prospects, with representation from 5 countries -- Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire -- across West Africa and 11 startups participating.
