Several arguments exist about the most essential qualities that form a solid foundational structure for startup success. While a well-structured business plan, a clear business model, and a solid marketing strategy are all crucial to a startup’s success, the true strength of any startup lies in its team.
A sturdy, cohesive team can make or break a company. Its ability to adapt, collaborate, and execute ultimately drives success. Without a strong team, even the best strategies will fail. This is even more important when we consider the close-knit working structure of the average startup.
Data suggests that 18% of startups fail because of team problems; another statistic suggests that 14% fail because they don’t have the right teams.
This month at Pitch Friday, our guests will be sharing insights from more than a decade leading teams at startups and multinationals across Africa.
