First, It was Mark Essien’s genius quizzes; next we had Sim Shagaya asking people to go bug searching through the Konga iOS and Android app, and now we have Jason Njoku of IrokoTV announcing that IrokoTV is hiring and he would give N1 million to the highest test scorers. In a blog post today, Jason spoke about Tunde, IrokoTV’s ‘lone star’ engineer in Lagos.
Over the last 13 months, he has demonstrated and forced me to acknowledge a very valuable lesson. There is awesome engineering talent in Lagos. Our senior engineers in NY have nothing but great things to say about Tunde.
So, Jason will be doing something seemingly strange. He – and IrokoTV – will build a new reality around Tunde in Lagos. Developers, developers developers. Hence, the hiring call.
