There's an air of anticipation as the new year unfolds. Resolutions have been made, gym memberships have been renewed, and there's a belief that this will be a better year than the last.

I can't make any promises or predictions, but I know a great way to kick off 2024.

Introducing Techpoint Pitch Friday.

Once a month, we host early-stage tech founders and startup enthusiasts at our pitch event. The format is simple: selected founders get a few minutes to pitch their startups and get feedback from attendees. Attendees comprise startup enthusiasts, founders, investors, and employees at some of the largest Nigerian startups, so you can be sure that founders get great feedback.

In 2023, more than 30 founders pitched their startups to over a thousand people, both physically and online. We also had experienced guests teach product development, bootstrapping a startup, and marketing your product. This year, we're gearing up for more. More pitches. More attendees. More impact.

Pitch Friday is open to everyone with an interest in building or working at startups. This includes existing or aspiring startup founders, product designers, customer service personnel, software engineers, and investors.

Note: Techpoint Africa does not fund any startups, nor do we provide connections to investors.

Pitch Friday is traditionally held on the second Friday of the month, but considering many people are only just resuming for the year, the date has been moved by a week.

On Friday, January 19, 2023, the January edition of Pitch Friday will be held at Zone Tech Park, Gbagada Expressway, Lagos State.
