Ride-hailing platform; Univasa launches in Port harcourt, competes Uber and Bolt

Transportation in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has gotten a new entry in its the ride-hailing section as leading IT company, Univasa Nigeria Limited launched its e-Taxi platform, Univasa on March 2nd 2021 to the delight of drivers and riders in the state. 

The launch also doubled as a roundtable discussion with stakeholders held at the Emmanuel Event Centre, Rumuigbo and toes the line of successful launches in Lagos and Edo states. Univasa’s commitment is to make rides safe for drivers and rider partners and they have several features in the application that makes this possible.

Univasa’s CEO, Dr Ben Adeniyi asserted that  “At Univasa, we want to change the transportation industry, and we are committed to using technology and innovation to drive this sector. And that is what has formed this day’s expansion and we are still moving. We are looking forward to partnerships that will create jobs, provide security and safety when it comes to transportation and we are not backing out from this quest”

Drivers present at the launch expressed their happiness at having more opportunities to proffer services to riders in the city.

The team is also set to launch the platform with drivers and riders in Abuja and Ibadan in the coming weeks. The Univasa User and Provider applications are available for download on Google PlayStore and the IOS app store
