Startup Profile: JobTaska — hire a freelancer online at any budget

JobTaska is an online platform that connects busy professionals with skilled service providers. Though having a freelancing platform to outsource one’s tasks is almost not a new phenomenon, JobTaska has come to play in the space with a different twist.

Compared to other similar platforms, JobTaska allows its users to define their own purchasing capacity. That is, they get to post required tasks and set their budget alongside. This is quite unique because it defies the usual norm — where pricing rests in the hands of freelancers or the platforms themselves.

JobTaska started operations fully on November 12, 2017, as the brain-child of Jasper Ogbonna and Samson Adewole, with two defined users; customers trying to outsource their tasks and service providers who register as “Taskas”.

However, before Taskas are enlisted, the startup subjects them to thorough verification. This is to ensure that only quality hands are matched with clients.

“Our workforce is dedicated to making sure that our platform is tailored to respond to all clients complaints and creates an atmosphere for flexible work integration. We not only love that you can hire experts or be hired on our platform with one click, but we believe that we have a responsibility to significantly make life better and easier for our users by providing the best customer-focused service in all we do”.

To clear doubts and heighten security, the platform employs the escrow payment model for its transaction. This allows payment to be released only when services provided by freelancers prove satisfactory to customers. If otherwise, payment will not be remitted, and in worse case scenario, might be returned to the client. A clear example of a win-win situation for all parties in the transaction chain; JobTaska, clients, and freelancers.
