Digital financial services platform, Kolomoni, has launched its “Take Control with Kolomoni” campaign, a brand push aimed at deepening its reach among Nigerian consumers while spotlighting an expanded product lineup.

The platform, backed by CapitalSage Holdings, unveiled three brand ambassadors for the South-West at the campaign launch: veteran actor Odunlade Adekola, comedian and actor Ayo Ajewole (Woli Agba), and actor Adeyemo Enoch (Baba Alariya). The trio will front Kolomoni’s marketing across the region, a move that leans into the star power of Yoruba-language entertainment to build brand recall in one of Nigeria’s most commercially active zones.

Alongside the star-studded unveiling, Kolomoni announced free transfers for users aged 25 and below, reaffirming its focus on providing affordable and accessible financial services for young Nigerians.

Speaking at the event, CapitalSage Holdings Group Managing Director John Alamu described Kolomoni’s trajectory as one shaped by “resilience, innovation, and a relentless commitment to serving customers,” adding that the company has evolved in step with a changing financial landscape.

Kolomoni Managing Director Samirah Ade-Adebiyi framed the platform’s offerings around simplicity and accessibility, noting that its products are “built around making banking simpler, smarter, and more rewarding” for a customer base spanning individuals, businesses, and organisations.

Nath Ude, the Group CEO, who delivered the closing remarks, tied the campaign back to product strategy, saying Kolomoni intends to keep listening to customers and adjusting its offerings to match their needs.

Why it matters

Nigeria’s digital banking market remains fiercely contested, with players competing on fees, speed, and brand visibility to win over a young, mobile-native population.

Kolomoni’s ambassador strategy signals that regional cultural relevance, rather than pan-Nigerian celebrity alone, can be a differentiator, particularly in the South-West, where Yoruba entertainment figures command deep audience loyalty.

Pairing that with a fee incentive for under-25s suggests the company is angling to build habits early with a demographic that will define the next phase of fintech growth in the country.

The launch event also featured product demos and customer engagement sessions, giving attendees a hands-on look at Kolomoni’s growing suite of financial tools.
