Every second Friday of the month since April, Techpoint has hosted its newest initiative codenamed Pitch Friday. From the inaugural edition up until the last event, which took place on the 8th of June, Pitch Friday has been a remarkable success.

We’ve managed to keep the programme as sanely as possible by removing every element that makes it seem like a contest. What that means is that there are no judges and prizes at stake during Pitch Fridays. Just passionate folks coming on board to share their story to an equally excited audience ready to give valuable feedback.

15 individuals have so far been opportune to pitch their ideas, product and services to the wonderful audience that has graced all three occasions.

Here are their faces

July’s edition is here

On 13th of July, next week Friday, we will be hosting the next edition of Pitch Friday. In typical fashion, five individuals will take to the centre stage to share the ideas and products they’ve been working on, believing they will leave with insights that will inform a greater milestone for their respective businesses.

So what’s new?

So far, the past editions have focused on the startups taking centre stage. But while we’d be advancing that course, we are also concerned about giving everyone value for their time, attendees inclusive.

This is why we would be introducing a mini SME clinic that will be anchored by experts and professionals across different industries in Nigeria.

This July, we would be bringing Mabel Ekeke on board. Mabel is a senior associate in the law firm of Babalakin & Co and a member of both the Nigerian and International Bar Association. She holds a master’s degree in International Business Law from the Queen Mary University of London.

Interestingly, she regularly advises client in the Fintech space on regulatory and compliance issues, in addition to negotiating and drafting contracts which relate to payment services, financial, electronic/mobile money services, IP creation, exploitation and protection, amongst others.

If you have legal and other related issues as it relates to your business, then Techpoint.ng office is where you want to be next week Friday.

Attendance as always is free. You can be a part of this community by simply registering to be among the pitchers. Or simply taking a place among the audience.

We’d definitively love to have you hang out with us.

Date: 13th of July 2018.

Time: 5PM – 7PM

Venue: 194 Herbert Macaulay road, Yaba Lagos.
