Earlier in the year, we announced our upcoming event, Techpoint Build West Africa 2020. Now in its third iteration, Techpoint Build has become a major tech gathering where we host innovators, startup founders, thinkers, programmers, and investors, among others.
This year’s edition has an impressive lineup of activities for three days. These include an investor tour, a themed hackathon, a startup competition, and our first-ever awards ceremony.
Lineup of activities for Techpoint Build West Africa 2020
Day 1: Friday, July 17, 2020
- Fintech industry breakfast, hosted in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI)
- 24-hour hackathon
- After-hours mixer with investors
Day 2: Saturday, July 18, 2020
- Main conference (technology conference, startup conference, and Pitch Storm startup competition finale)
Venue: Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos
Day 3: Sunday, July 19, 2020
- Techpoint Awards 2020 dinner
Venue: Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.
How to participate
Registration is required to participate in all of the above activities except the hackathon for which a separate registration will soon be announced.
Below are the different ticket classes available for the event and their corresponding perks.
Do note that the United States dollar figures are only applicable to international participants — people coming from outside the West African region.

The same benefits as the general badge except that interested participants are required to present student ID cards during registration.

Visit the Techpoint Build 2020 website to register for the event. As earlier stated, the technology conference and the Pitch Storm competition finale will happen simultaneously on day two.
Beyond the Pitch Storm, business leaders will also be sharing their experiences at the startup stage.
At the technology conference, there will be discussions around the transformative power of technology and how it affects our daily lives. Some of the topics for the conference revolve around the future of work, machine learning, and policy, among others.
