Starting last weekend, a series of attacks began in Plateau state when gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked villages in Barkin Ladi Local Governement Area of the state, reportedly leading to a death toll of over 100 men, women and children.
On Saturday, scores of Nigerians were reportedly murdered by armed men believed to be herdsmen in Barkin Ladi, Plateau.
On Sunday afternoon, in Jos, rioters attacked other Nigerians they believed to be Muslim in Jos, in apparent reprisal attacks.

Yesterday, butchers and Policemen in Bodija market, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital were at loggerheads. The clash eventually resulted in the burning down of the Bodija police station and the death of an innocent trader.

Tanker Explosion in Lagos
While Nigerians were still brooding over the unfortunate events of the week, a petrol tanker and about 53 other vehicles burnt down on the Otedola inward bridge in the Berger area of Lagos yesterday.
