9mobile has a new Chief Financial Officer

Following the events surrounding the pulling out of Teleology Holdiings from 9mobile, the company has announced the appointment of Phillips Oki as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Phillips Oki is an economist and  finance professional with over two decades of experience — cut across the private and public sectors — in accounting and management, audit, financial reporting and budgeting, as well as business and project management.

Before joining 9mobile, he worked in academia, as a lecturer at Babcock University, and with multinational companies including KPMG Nigeria, Price Water Coopers (PwC), Royal Merchant Bank and PepsiCo International, among others.

Phillips is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and has managed and delivered several projects for Nigeria’s Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) as Deputy Director, as well as the Adam Smith International and Department for International Development (DIFD) in the United Kingdom.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Phillips Oki has been CFO of the struggling telco since December 2018. He’ll be providing the financial leadership the company needs to get back to its feet.
