Flutterwave has officially launched its Send App in Ghana, aiming to simplify receiving international remittances. This development allows individuals and businesses in Ghana to receive funds from abroad directly into their bank accounts or mobile money wallets, including MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, and AirtelTigo Money.

Send App is designed to facilitate seamless cross-border transactions for various purposes, such as family support, tuition payments, and business operations. With competitive fees, the platform ensures that users receive optimal value for their transfers. Security is a top priority for Flutterwave; the Send App is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest security standard in the payments industry, guaranteeing that all transactions are encrypted and protected against fraud and unauthorised access.

Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, emphasised the company’s dedication to enhancing financial connectivity across Africa, “With Send App now live in Ghana, we are providing a fast, reliable, and accessible solution for individuals and businesses to receive international payments without stress. This is a major leap forward in our vision of connecting Africa to the global economy.”

In March, Flutterwave secured approval from the Bank of Ghana to offer inward remittance services in Ghana. In 2023, the fintech announced that it had received its Payment Services Provider and Payments Facilitator licenses in Egypt, and in February 2025, it secured its Payment System License in Zambia.

Send App’s launch in Ghana aligns with Flutterwave’s broader strategy to expand its payment ecosystem and drive financial connectivity across the continent and is expected to provide a secure and efficient platform for remittance recipients, contributing to the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance financial inclusion and economic development.
