nHub, the first technology hub in Northern Nigeria, has been at the heart of powering innovation not only in Jos, but the North as a whole.
During the course of the Techpoint Innovation Tour in Jos, Daser David, founder of nHub, revealed to us the details of a strategic partnership between nHub and a German startup community — StartupBonn.
According to Daser, the partnership will see both parties share educational and technical resources; including events, logos, programs and activities on their different websites, social blogs and other social media channels.
However, the icing on the cake of the partnership is an exchange program that will see both tech hubs swap developers once a year for a period ranging from 2 weeks to 4 weeks.
While in Jos, Techpoint witnessed firsthand, how the local tech community is fast coming of age; with a reference to how nHub is striving to position Jos as the city that will build technology solutions for the rest of Nigeria.

The tech community in Jos is primarily made up of core developers, therefore, such partnership will only serve to present a level ground to showcase these talent globally.
The partnership also has the potential to contribute immensely to the growth and development of the country as the foreign experts will be working closely with developers in the nHub program to develop solutions to local problems.
Also far away in Germany, StartupBonn is putting the city of Bonn on the global map by reinventing the local startup community through tech events, networking, and partnership (like the one with nHub).
In general, the partnership will see to the launch of new ideas, encourage investments and allowing aspiring entrepreneurs and disruptive mindsets challenge the status quo.
Daser confirmed to us he will be travelling to Germany in January next year to attend to the final details of the partnership.
