How to avoid long queues in banking halls

So I was in the banking hall yesterday and I literally began to get scared…. It was a closed environment and loud voices were raised in anger and impatience all around me….

Obviously one could understand the chaos was as a result of the long weekend stretched out before us as a result of the Salah celebrations. As I patiently watched time fly by while I waited on the queue to cash my cheque, I realized most of the noise was coming from the lines where cash deposits were being made.

Could all this aggression have been avoided? By all means yes!  All anyone needs to do to avoid waiting endlessly and growing white hair on queues in banking halls is the activation of internet banking on their accounts. Nigerians need to be more tech savvy and learn how to live stress-free lives. That’s what technology is for!

Online banking rocks because you don’t have to wait in line. You don’t have to plan your day around the bank’s hours. You can send money from your living room or office or car simply by flicking your fingers. You can look at your balance whenever you want, not just when you get a statement….. And many other awesome features.

That said, if you were one of those angry customers trapped in the queue at the bank yesterday because you wanted to deposit money into an account, are you still going to think twice about signing up for internet banking?

Well, unless you like the long queues and endless waiting, you’ll say no… But for me, I’ll return to chewing on my fried meat and enjoying this long holiday.

Barka de sallah to my Muslim brothers and sisters.
