Getting an education from MIT is like taking a drink from a firehose

This August, 50 entrepreneurs from around the world will attend MIT’s Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp of which 5 are Nigerians listed below.

Startup: Bus Stop

Founded in Lagos by Emmanuel Adegboye, Bus Stop is a transit app solving the problem of navigation using the various available public transportation options in Africa.

Startup: Slatecube

Another startup based in Lagos and founded by Chris Kwekowe, Slatecube leverages knowledge with skill acquisition to promote employability and social development by allowing you learn useful stuff, work with companies on projects, and even get employed to do the things you love! Slatecube is powered by leading schools and organizations.

Startup: Verdant

This London-based was founded by Nasir Yammama. Verdant is an Agricultural technology startup that collects agricultural data from different sources and places it at the convenience of the farmers as well as provides all-round support from pre-planting to harvest and beyond.

Startup: Aajoh

This Lagos-based startup founded by Similolu Adejumo optimizes hospital productivity and revenues by transforming health care delivery into a simple, fast, secure and automated Web platform. This increases accessibility to health care delivery and improves standardization of health care.

Startup: ThinkAndZoom

Zuby Onwuta developed think and zoom in Austin, Texas as a software that provides hands-free visual magnification for the visually impaired, powered by the human mind using an innovative combination of Google glass and Neurosky EEG headset for people to see better if they simply look and think.
