On July 18, 2025, Lagos’ tech ecosystem experienced an energising convergence as Tezza Business Solutions hosted the Software & I.T. Specialists’ Happy Hour at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Victoria Island. Under the theme “AI Meets QA: Innovating the Software Lifecycle,” the invite-only gathering welcomed CIOs, CTOs, QA professionals, and digital transformation leaders from sectors including banking, fintech, telecoms, insurance, and oil & gas.
As one of its standout collaborations of the year, Tezza enhanced this premier event by partnering with global testing software provider Inflectra, featuring a keynote by Inflectra’s Founder and CEO, Adam Sandman, and Tezza’s Founder and CEO, Roland Omoresemi.
In his keynote, Sandman explored the enduring importance of quality assurance in the age of artificial intelligence. Drawing from years of experience building tools like SpiraTest and Rapise, Sandman emphasised that AI helps human testers to add depth to QA.
“When you’re a human, you go to a nice, pretty dashboard, like the ones we have in our tool, and it gives you some graphs and charts. However, what’s much more interesting to me would be if the AI sifts through all that data in the project and it finds something that we’ve never seen before,” Sandman said.
“An edge case, a race condition — maybe there’s a performance bottleneck that was buried in 4,000 lines of code or something. So AI can really help us improve test coverage and improve predictive analytics.”
The Happy Hour also included strategic panel sessions led by Roland Omoresemi, Adam Sandman, Daniel Inyang, and Samy El Hassani.
The evening combined high-level dialogue on artificial intelligence and quality assurance with live demonstrations on Inflectra’s AI tool by Samy El Hassani, Sales Account Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Inflectra, and a relaxed networking reception that allowed tech minds to connect and collaborate in a thoughtfully curated atmosphere.
Hassani provided an immersive exploration of Inflectra’s innovative AI tools, which redefine the traditional QA workflow. In the live demonstration, Hassani showcased how the tool could generate software requirements, test scenarios, and even test cases.
“So basically, you could work your backlog directly on this interface. You can also create a prompt and then convert that prompt into a task. And from the task, you can also create a test case,” Hassani said.
Tezza Business Solutions is a technology consulting firm specialising in quality assurance, software testing, and enterprise solutions for clients across Africa and beyond. With offices in Nigeria, Kenya, and the United States, Tezza helps companies build and maintain reliable digital systems by embedding quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Speaking on why it was essential to host the event, Omoresemi told Techpoint Africa, “For a very long time, the IT function within most organisations was the most ignored, and a lot of times, you find that people within our space feel isolated because the community isn’t always there.
“What we thought was to start organising events like this to pull leaders together, like CIOs, CTOs, business analysts, and project managers, who can collaborate on key matters in such a way that we create awareness for what quality is and what is required to ensure quality happens.”
Events like the AI meets QA Happy Hour reflect the company’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and pushing the boundaries of what quality assurance can look like in an AI-driven world.
“We need to demystify the concept that AI will replace our jobs, and rather embrace it to see how we can have it help us speed up work and handle things that are difficult to do. We also need to start appreciating that there is the strategic, creative aspect of our work that will always be prevailing no matter how advanced AI gets,” Omoresemi said.
