On September 9–10, 2025, Ritemate hosted a two-day intensive training on Data Privacy, Protection & Compliance at Adna Hotel, Lagos. The training attracted professionals across multiple sectors—banking, media, technology, telecoms, consulting, and government—who came to understand not just the law, but how to embed compliance in business strategy, operations, and innovation.

Why this matters

The NDPA 2023 requires every organization that processes personal data to register as either a Data Controller or Data Processor and file an annual Compliance Audit Return (CAR). Failure to comply can result in fines, reputational damage, and even restrictions on business operations.

According to Jide Ogunleye, CEO of Ritemate Technologies, businesses must treat compliance as more than a box-ticking exercise:

“Data is the currency of the digital economy. Nigerian companies cannot afford to lag behind global standards. This training is about building trust, securing innovation, and future-proofing organizations in a world where data flows drive business growth.”

A holistic approach to data and technology

  • Technology Services – Cloud solutions, ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and digital transformation.
  • Data Analytics & Business Intelligence – Turning data into insights that power decision-making.
Cybersecurity Advisory – Safeguarding organizations against breaches and digital risks.
  • Digital Marketing & Strategy – Helping brands engage customers through compliant, ethical, and data-driven strategies.

Participants at the training praised the sessions as practical, insightful, and transformative, noting that they left with actionable steps to implement within their organizations immediately.

One key message resonated throughout the event: compliance is not just law—it is a competitive advantage. Organizations that prioritize privacy and security will win the trust of customers, partners, and regulators, positioning themselves ahead in an increasingly digital marketplace.
