Ijeawele Invest,a Nigerian hire-purchase platform, celebrates its first year of business with strong interest from investors, effective use of assets, and excellent payout results, showing an increasing need for organized, real-asset investment.

Founded to bridge the gap between capital owners and productive operators, Ijeawele Invest focuses on enabling outright and shared ownership of income-generating vehicles while managing operations, maintenance, and repayment structures on behalf of investors.

Early Traction and Market Adoption

In its first twelve months, the company onboarded over 300 investors through a combination of outright asset purchases and its Clique co-ownership model, which allows multiple investors to pool funds to acquire commercial vehicles.

During the same period, Ijeawele Invest generated multiple nine-figure revenues and deployed over 200 vehicles into productive use, primarily across urban transport and delivery segments. These assets are currently operated by more than 200 drivers, many of whom are progressing through structured hire-purchase arrangements toward ownership.

The company also disclosed that it has paid out multiple nine-figure hire-purchase returns to investors since launch, maintaining a consistent repayment record.

“Our priority in the first year was not rapid expansion, but building a system that works,” said Mr. Maduka Daniel Elvis, Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Ijeawele Group. “We focused on disciplined deployment, tight financial controls, and predictable payouts. In finance, trust is earned quietly, through consistency.”

Operating Model Built on Structure

Ijeawele Invest’s model combines asset-backed financing with centralized operations. Investors either fully own assets or participate via co-ownership, while the company manages driver engagement, asset maintenance, collections, and reporting.

According to the company, this structure is designed to reduce the operational risk traditionally associated with informal hire-purchase arrangements in Nigeria.

“Hire-purchase has existed in Nigeria for decades, but it has often lacked transparency and structure,” said Mr. Prosper Orji, Co-founder of Ijeawele Invest. “We set out to formalize that model using technology, clear contracts, and operational discipline, so both investors and drivers can participate with confidence.”

Technology and Partnerships

As part of its first-year milestones, Ijeawele Invest launched its mobile application to give investors real-time visibility into asset performance and payouts. The company also partnered with Fidelity Bank to support seamless and secure transactions across its platform.

These developments, according to management, are aimed at improving transparency and preparing the platform for responsible scale.

Outlook for Year Two

Looking ahead, Ijeawele Invest plans to expand asset categories, deepen partnerships, and scale its platform cautiously while maintaining payout discipline and operational controls.

“We are entering our second year with data, not assumptions,” said Elvis. “The numbers are real, the model is proven, and our focus now is controlled growth.”

With Nigeria’s rising inflation and limited access to traditional investment vehicles, platforms offering asset-backed income models are attracting increased attention. Ijeawele Invest’s first-year performance positions it among a growing group of startups exploring structured approaches to real-economy investment.
