Building a business is hard. Whether it’s a fashion eCommerce store or a fintech startup, there are no easy businesses. So, it’s not surprising that so many businesses do not survive beyond their fifth year.

There are so many reasons a startup could fail — not understanding the market and a bad business model being two of them. Fortunately, you can avoid both problems by having your business model interrogated.

This is where the Techpoint Pitch Friday comes in.

Techpoint Pitch Friday gathers individuals interested in the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, marketers, and accountants, once a month. There, selected entrepreneurs pitch their products and receive valuable feedback from the audience.

Here are three reasons why you should not miss it:

Build your network

Everyone talks about your network being your net worth and this is a great opportunity to meet people with the same interests. There’s enough time at the end of the day for you to meet and connect with the other attendees. You never know which one of them could change your life.

Learn from other entrepreneurs

There’s always something to learn at each Pitch Friday. Even when you’re not pitching, the questions and the responses that others give could be valuable to your business.

Eat free food

This may feel like a bribe, but at least I’m not buying your votes. You’ll get a pack of small chops and a bottle of water if you come around.

This month, Pitch Friday will be held by 5 pm on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 43b Emina Crescent, Opebi, Ikeja. We have limited seats, so you should register now to save one for yourself.

See you there.
