Following initial speculations, Twitter has finally confirmed the release of its quoted tweet feature.
However, this is currently available for only a few users, with the plan to be rolled out to all users soon.
We rolled this out as a test starting today. Let's you easily see all the Retweets with comments of any tweet. Let us know what you think if you have access to the experience. https://t.co/lQhAMmufCs

“We rolled this out as a test starting today. Let’s you easily see all the Retweets with comments of any tweet. Let us know what you think if you have access to the experience,” Twitter product lead, Kayvon Beykpour revealed in a tweet on Wednesday.
This feature mimics the QR bot built by Dara Oladosun, @quotedreplies, howbeit, seamless. Unlike the QR bot which allows users to view all quoted comments by generating a link of all retweets, this is an internal feature which can be accessed by only clicking ‘Retweets’ option.
So far, subscribers’ reactions have shown anticipation.
It is not clear, however, how involved the Nigerian is in this latest development, since it appears this new feature would eventually displace his automated QR bot.
Recall that in November 2019, during the Twitter CEO and other executives visit to Nigeria, Oladosun was offered a job to help build a native “quoted tweet” feature for Twitter, during a town hall meeting hosted by Techpoint.
Although, Techpoint gathered that he has been actively involved in the Twitter developer community and has designed another app integrated through the platform’s APIs earlier in February 2020 — an app that automatically hides replies that can be abusive.

In the meantime, with the promise of “soon”, subscribers will continue to look out for further evolution of the bird app.
