MTN Group is shaking up a number of top executive roles in its branches across various countries.
Philip van Dalsen, the CEO of MTN Zambia and Freddy Tchala MTN Côte d’Ivoire CEO will both be leaving MTN at the end of September.
After working with MTN for at least seven years — starting in 2012 as CEO of MTN Cyprus, van Dalsen will be replaced by Bart Hofker, the CEO of MTN Rwanda. While Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi, who is coming from Airtel Tigo Ghana where she was CEO, will be taking over from Hofker as the new CEO of MTN Rwanda.
Ng’ambi previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Benin and held other roles at MTN Zambia.
Freddy Tchala, on the other hand, will be leaving MTN after 17 years working with the company both in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire.
MTN has not revealed who will be replacing Tchala yet. In a statement on Tuesday, the company said they “will make an announcement in due course.”
