For the first week of 2019 ( January 1 to January 8), the most searched political topics were relating to education, police, minimum wage, health and transportation.

The most searched presidential candidates were People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s Atiku Abubakar, All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Muhammadu Buhari, African Action Congress (AAC)’s Omoyele Sowore, Young Progressive Party (YPP)’s Kingsley Moghalu and Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)’s Fela Durotoye.
