StartupIstanbul

On 1st – 3rd of October, 100 startups will gather in Istanbul to meet with mentors from tech companies and tech hubs from US and Europe, and pitch their startups to a jury and a room full of investors. 15 of these startups will be selected for the startup Istanbul event on 5th of October where they get to meet venture capitalists and angel investors in the finals.

The event is managed by Etohum, a startup accelerator and seed investor in Turkey and some of the investors and attending companies from previous years are: MasterCard, PayPal, Intel Capital, Google Ventures, 500 Startups, Accel Partners, and Simile Ventures.

The event places a huge emphasis on the opportunities to network and build upon existing ideas. Last year, there were over 1500+ attendees, 100+ startups, 200+ investors, and 50+ speakers. 15 of the selected startups last year include, lixpen, funimate and connected2me.

Speakers at this year’s event will include Silicon Valley veterans, investors and top tier tech executives and the application is opened to everyone.
