Asoriba, an online Church Admin platform, wins Seedstars Accra 2015

Asoriba, a web and mobile application that enables effective church administration for leaders, and seamless engagement with members, was selected the "Best startup in Ghana" 2015, at the just concluded Seedstars Accra event, hosted at Impact Hub Accra.

Asoriba will join MyQ, from Nigeria, and other startups from around the world in Switzerland in February 2016 for the final pitching round, for a shot at the $500,000 equity investment prize. Other investments and prizes such as the Travel Investment track powered by lastminute.com group, a $500,00 equity investment for the best travel startup and the $50,000 grant for the best space startup are also up for grabs.

Flippy Campus with its app that helps students get timely access to information related to the academic and social life on campus came second and Enyinam Tech, a clean tech solution to minimize external energy inputs in our power generation systems by removing all mechanical rotating devices, grabbed the last spot in the top 3.

The other startups invited to pitch were:

Booomers International: Booomers addresses the quadruple problems rural youth unemployment, rural-urban migration, climate change and sustainable transport.

Beep: Beep is a fun, safe way to meet new people through friends. It is a casual way to discover and meet cool new people just like in real life.

Ahwenepa Fashion: Ahwenepa is a Customisable Online global Marketplace for strictly African fashion and lifestyle products.Package+Delivery services available

OnToday: OnToday is a full service platform that provides a start-to-finish approach for businesses to attracting, keeping and managing customers.

Afrishopen: Afrishopen is the solution for Africa SMEs Business to have Online shop and make more sale at low cost on mobile device & Web.Agbona Saheed.

Seedstars World is a global pitch competition targeted at startups in emerging markets. The competition has expanded to include more than 50 countries for 2015, up from the 36 countries in 2014. Past participants have raised $20m between them, providing employment to +360 employees all emerging markets in the world.

Next stop for Seedstarts World, on the road to Switzerland is Abidjan on the August 12th, where the event to select the best startup in Ivory Coast will be held at the Orange Technocentre in Abidjan. Seedstars World is looking for smart startups that solve regional issues and/or develop profitable products for the global market.
