SOLO is an experience-driven digital content and smartphone company focused on delivering content and services on the mobile platform to African consumers. SOLO was formed in 2012 by a group of telecommunication professionals, led by Tayo Ogundipe, a Nigerian-born, former senior global executive with HTC and Sony Ericsson.

Well, SOLO has just teamed up with telecommunications giant, Airtel to bring a new offering to its target audience, the SOLO S355.

The dual-core, 3.5 inch screen phone has 4GB of internal storage, 512 MB of RAM and a memory card slot expandable up to 32GB. It also has a front-facing camera and a 3 megapixel rear camera. The SOLO S355 is pretty sleek and comes in red, black and white. It also has dual SIM slots (one already pre-set with an Airtel SIM)

The S355 is a Google (GMS) certified Android smartphone that offers users: access to up to 20 million songs via the built-in SOLO Music platform for free, 2,100 Naira airtime bonus for 700 Naira recharge, and free love tips [apparently], all for just 8,500 naira.
