Day 7 was a Saturday and also the day we planned to leave Ife for Ibadan. Breakfast came around 9 AM and about three hours later, the entire team checked out of the hotel and bade the Great Ife goodbye.
The ancient city of Ibadan, popularly called the Home of Many Firsts is just about one hour away from Ife. After navigating our way through the city, trying to locate our hotel, we finally arrived a few minutes past 2 PM. We spent the rest of the day relaxing.
Day 8
Sunday started out slow but picked up with a fast pace towards the early hours of the afternoon. We left the hotel around 1 PM anticipating a relaxed and fun Sunday afternoon.
Our first stop was the Zoological Gardens located within the premises of the University of Ibadan. We spent the following hour walking through the zoo, checking out the animals on display and taking pictures.
By 2:30 PM we left the zoo for Agodi Gardens, a recreational park located in the heart of Ibadan.

At the park, some members of the team enjoyed large portions of Suya and Asun, washed down with some palm wine, while others went for a swim at the swimming pool.
At 5:30 PM, the entire team gathered at a lounge located within the park to watch the Manchester Derby. While watching the match, we were distracted by a group of Salsa enthusiasts, who were entertaining by the way.
By the time we left Agodi Gardens for our hotel around 8 PM, some members of the team were making plans to take up Salsa.

Leaving the hotel a few minutes before 9 AM, our first stop was Oluyole FM. At the radio station, we met with a few members of the team.
By 10:20 AM, Muyiwa and Victor joined the hosts of Breakfast Fiesta on air to discuss the many opportunities in information technology.
The programme ended by 11 AM and the entire team headed to Wennovation Hub, an Ibadan-based accelerator, incubator and co-working space.
Some members of the team settled to work from the space while the rest set out to continue the tour for the day.
Our next stop was Bytelabs, a startup that builds AI-powered products.
Olubodun Adewumi, the CEO of the company introduced the team and shared some insights into the company's goal to tackle sickle cell among Africans, as well as its other products.
