Sony Middle East and Africa has announced the expansion of its ULT Power Sound series, unveiling four new products — the ULT Tower 9, ULT Field 5, ULT Field 3, and ULTMIC1 — at an exclusive Independence Day event hosted at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja.
Designed for personal, home and on-the-go listening, the lineup combines deep bass performance, portability and smart connectivity, reflecting Nigeria’s energetic music culture. The launch brought together influencers, leading media houses, lifestyle and tech bloggers, and industry partners for live demonstrations, curated listening sessions and product giveaways.
The introduction builds on Sony’s 2024 debut of the ULT Power Sound series in Nigeria, which marked a significant step in the company’s high-power portable audio offering. With the new models, Sony continues to extend immersive sound experiences in compact, lifestyle-ready formats.
The event began with a welcome reception at 7 p.m., where guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés. Hosted by hype man Toppy Banks, the celebration featured musical performances by DwinTheStoic and Pdatruth, blending entertainment with product showcases that highlighted the features of the new lineup.
Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa, said:
“Nigeria’s Independence Day is a moment of pride, unity and celebration, and we could not think of a better occasion to introduce the new additions to the ULT Power Sound series. Music is at the heart of Nigerian culture, and with the ULT Tower 9, ULT Field 5 and ULT Field 3, we’re delivering sound experiences that match the nation’s vibrant spirit — powerful, portable and designed to move with you. At Sony, we are committed to bringing innovations that elevate entertainment and connect deeply with our customers’ lifestyles.”
Prominent influencers and content creators — including Jayonair, Sheggz, Meshkiey, Munachi Abi, Pretty Precious, Oluwaseunayo, Tomiwa Jonathan, Mmesoma, Legendary Ben, and Victoria King — added star power to the event. Many shared behind-the-scenes moments on social media, creating online buzz around the launch.
Attendees also participated in karaoke and quiz segments, where business partners competed for prizes. Dinner and networking followed, giving guests time to experience the products and discuss potential collaborations.
