In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, themed “Give to Gain,” Dot Microfinance Bank (Dot MFB), a fintech-driven financial institution, launched a series of initiatives to empower women within its organisation and across the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The bank commenced its activities with an internal session titled “Give to Gain: The Real Journey Behind Success,”designed to foster open dialogue among women in the workplace. The session featured Keynote Speaker Tayo Winkunle, Founder of Techlytics, and panellists Tomilayo Awofisibe, Head of Operations at Dot MFB, and Ngozi Okoye, Head of Sales at Dot MFB, who shared insights on career growth, personal development, and navigating professional challenges. The session was hosted by Leah Ogunleye, Senior Brand Manager at Dot MFB, and was well received by participants, with positive feedback highlighting the value of authentic conversations and shared experiences.
Extending its International Women’s Day initiative beyond internal engagement, Dot MFB launched “She Scales with AI,” a 3-day virtual masterclass designed to equip female entrepreneurs with practical digital tools for business growth. The programme was delivered in partnership with Techlytics, a firm specialising in practical, business-focused AI implementation.
The masterclass focused on enabling participants to:
- Automate customer engagement using WhatsApp-based tools
- Build AI-powered business websites
- Develop structured digital sales and customer engagement workflows
According to the programme design, the class was intended for 30 to 50 participants; however, it recorded over 60 registrations, reflecting strong demand among female entrepreneurs seeking to improve their digital capabilities.
Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in hands-on implementation, building real tools for their businesses rather than relying solely on theoretical instruction.
At the end of the programme, participants who met attendance and participation requirements successfully graduated, receiving co-branded certificates issued by Dot MFB and Techlytics.
Participants shared positive feedback on the programme, highlighting its practical and hands-on approach. Many noted that they were able to immediately implement what they learned, from setting up automated customer responses to building functional business websites, making the sessions highly valuable and impactful.
Speaking on the initiative, Victor Udochi, the Managing Director of Dot Microfinance Bank, emphasised the bank’s commitment to creating opportunities that drive sustainable growth for women-led businesses, noting that empowering women with practical tools and knowledge contributes to stronger communities and economic development.
