Wetech Women Foundation (Wetech), in partnership with UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, funded by the UK’s Government Digital Access Programme (DAP), has announced the launch of the PitchHer Investment Readiness Program a structured, eight-week programme designed to take 25 selected women founders across Nigeria from “interested in raising” to “ready to raise.” The programme will equip participants with the financial rigour, investor fluency, and pitch confidence to pursue capital from angels, venture capitalists, and financiers.

Made possible through Wetech partnership with UK-Nigeria Tech Hub,; the UK government’s flagship initiative connecting British and African tech ecosystems,  the programme opens a door that has historically been closed to too many women founders: access to world-class investment education, an active investor network, and a stage on which to be seen.

At the end of Week 6, six finalists will be selected through a live mock pitch panel to advance to Phase 2; two weeks of one-to-one pitch coaching, deck polish, and simulated investor Q&A sessions.

Those six founders will then pitch live in front of 2,500+ attendees, investors, and ecosystem leaders at Wetech 2026 Flagship Conference: The Power Shift on September 26, 2026, competing for a ₦8.5 million prize pool.

“African startups raised $3.2B in funding and only 0.9% went to female founded teams. These gender gaps compound more than we realize – preventing an additional $229B in GDP in Nigeria alone. Our program is designed to help women building get access to capital to scale, starting with our conference and networks”— Gabriella Uwadiegwu, President, Wetech

PitchHer is built for founders who are in the work, not just thinking about it. The programme is open to Nigeria-based startups that are women founded or co-founded at pre-seed stage who have a product or service in market, early traction or a validated problem, and a genuine intention to raise capital within the next 12 to 18 months.

If you have a business that is generating revenue, serving customers, or actively testing with users, and you know the next step is funding but you are not yet sure how to get there, this programme was designed for you and sector agnostic.

Applications are open now. The deadline to apply is July 10, 2026. Eligible candidates are early-stage, Nigeria-based women founders. Places are limited to 25 founders.

Register to apply.
