The Tonic Technologies (TTT), a leading fintech company revolutionizing the payments landscape with solutions that simplify everyday financial tasks, is thrilled to announce Emmanuel Sohe, fondly known as E.S, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Since her founding in 2019, The Tonic Technologies has been providing practical solutions to payment problems, with one of these solutions being Cardtonic.
Cardtonic is an all-in-one fintech platform that is changing the game by simplifying the way users buy and sell vouchers and gift cards, pay bills, purchase gadgets, and access virtual USD cards.
But this is just the beginning. With Emmanuel’s strong track record in fintech and a dynamic approach to product management, he is already working on more groundbreaking products that will propel The Tonic Technologies into its next phase of growth and innovation.
Who is ES?
A graduate who topped his class at Obafemi Awolowo University, he began his career as a Business Strategist at Background Check International. He later made waves as a Data and BI Analyst, consulting for industry giants like MTN Nigeria, the Federal Inland Revenue Service, and Ecobank. 🫡
In 2020, Emmanuel joined TTT as a Business Developer/Strategist, quickly establishing himself as a powerhouse of ideas and execution. Fast forward to today, and he’s taking up the CEO position, ready to redefine the fintech space.
Get to know the man
Let’s be real, who doesn’t want to know what’s going on in the mind of a fintech CEO?
We caught up with Emmanuel to ask some fun, unexpected questions that reveal a little more about the man behind the vision.
Q: What’s the most unexpected song on your playlist right now?
"I am intentional about my playlist and the songs I listen to. But if 'unexpected' means what no one would expect me to be listening to right now, then it’s Uyo Meyo by Teni. I know, I know—it’s an old song, but I still listen to it almost every day. It’s that good! 😁"
Q: If your leadership style were a meme, what would it be?
"It would be this 😂"
Q: What advice would you give to your 21-year-old self?
"Relax. Life isn’t as tough as it seems. Learn to trust people more, let your guard down, and take things one day at a time."
Q: If you could invent a fintech app for young people, what would it do?
"It would be a mix of what we’re already doing at Cardtonic, but with an added feature to directly connect users to e-commerce suppliers for seamless shopping. I’m all about making things easier for people."
What’s Next? Bigger Moves, Bigger Wins!
With Emmanuel steering the ship, Cardtonic is set to roll out more innovative features that will push the boundaries of fintech and deliver even more innovative solutions to users.
