The Lagos Startup Expo is fast approaching, with only 2 days left until D-day. As promised, it's going to be a day of innovation, collaboration, and growth as startups will be showcasing their products, and attendees will get to interact with them and also give feedback. The Expo will also feature workshops, demos, and a masterclass session.

Given the magnitude of the expo, it's not unusual for questions to arise concerning the expo, and that's why I wrote this article to answer them. Below are some frequently asked questions about the Lagos Startup Expo and the answers to them.

Where will the Lagos Startup Expo be held?

Lagos Startup Expo will be held at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

How do I move from my location to the venue?

You can make use of map applications such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc. to check your current location and check the distance and possible bus stops that are on the way to the event.

Will Pitchstorm hold at the Lagos Startup Expo?

No, Pitchstorm will not be held at this year's Lagos Startup Expo. Initially, we opened registration for Pitchstorm and got several entries; however, due to logistics issues, we regret to announce that it won't be held at the Expo. More information will be shared with all who have registered in the near future.

Can I still attend even if I didn't get a registration confirmation email?

Yes, you can still attend the expo. Most likely, your data is already in our database. Come around, introduce yourself, and you will be checked into the event.

Who can attend the masterclass sessions?

The masterclass sessions are exclusive to VIP ticket holders. This means that only those who registered for VIP tickets get to attend the masterclass sessions. There will be 3 masterclass sessions, which will be led by Olu Oyinsan, Managing Partner, Oui Capital; Odunayo Eweniyi, Co-founder and COO, Piggyvest; and Oshone Anavhe, VP, Operations, Thrive Agric, respectively.

Who can attend the workshop sessions?

The workshop sessions are open to everyone who will be present at the expo. The workshop sessions will be held on the main stage. Whether you have a free ticket or a VIP ticket, you can make it to the workshop sessions and gain valuable insights into what the facilitators will be presenting.

Will Techpoint Africa be providing transportation to the Expo?

No. There is no transportation provision from the organisers of the expo. Also, there's no mobility partner for the expo. Meaning you are responsible for your coming to the event as well as your leaving. So, you can prepare accordingly.

Will my gadgets be safe?

While there will be security personnel present at the venue, it's also important to be vigilant. Do not leave your property with strangers. Techpoint Africa won't be responsible for the loss or theft of property at the Expo.

How can I get hotels close to the venue?

There are a sizable number of hotels around Landmark Event Centre. You can get more information on these hotels via Google Maps or Hotels.ng.
