Facilitators of the Lagos Startup Expo masterclass

Lagos Startup Expo, the largest gathering of startups under one roof in Africa, will be hosting a masterclass session. The masterclass session is designed for founders, business executives, product leads and other business stakeholders. The aim is to provide training workshops on how they can move their businesses further and also bring people in the startup ecosystem closer.

These masterclasses are accessible to all VIP attendees (buy tickets here) and below are the amazing facilitators of the sessions:

Olu Oyinsan, Managing Partner, Oui Capital

Olu Oyinsan is an emerging markets seed-stage investor and managing partner at Oui Capital- an early-stage VC fund investing in promising technology companies in frontier markets. Before launching Oui Capital, Olu started his career in commercial banking with Nigeria’s Guaranty Trust Bank, later working as a TEI consultant at Forrester, a global market research firm advising some of the biggest technology companies. He also worked at Silicon Valley Bank’s early-stage practice, supporting early-stage tech companies across the east coast of the US.

Olu will be facilitating the session titled, "How to secure funding when no one wants to invest” at the Lagos Startup Expo.


Odunayo Eweniyi, Co-founder and COO, Piggyvest

Odunayo Eweniyi is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of PiggyVest, the largest digital savings and micro-investment platform in Nigeria. She previously co-founded PushCV, one of the foremost job sites in Africa with the largest database of pre-screened candidates.

She has 8 years of experience in business analysis and operations and is an award-winning fintech entrepreneur working for diversity, equity, and inclusion in fintech and technology as a whole. As the COO of Piggyvest, she oversees the company's entire operation, which cuts across finance, investment management, people operations, investor relations, fundraising, and related subcategories.

Odunayo will be facilitating the masterclass session titled, “How to win big in business on a tight budget.”

Oshone Anavhe, VP Operations, Thrive Agric

Oshone Anavhe is a business leader and agribusiness expert skilled in strategy and operations, business development, sales, and project management. He has over 8 years of experience working in the agric sector with different startups and is an expert in building systems and processes that help for sustainable growth.

Oshone is the Vice President of Operations at Thrive Agric, where he has been able to help the company scale its operations to more than 15x over the past 3 years by building a network of around 500,000 farmers and overseeing a team of more than 1500 across 13 states in Nigeria.

As an independent consultant, he has worked with different startups and organisations, providing consultation on agribusiness management, value chain analysis, food systems advisory, strategy, and operations.

Oshone will be facilitating the masterclass session titled, “Turning adversity to advantage: How to move your startup from surviving to thriving.”
