by | Jan 10, 2019

As Nigeria’s 2019 general elections approach, Nigerians are keeping abreast of the activities leading to the elections by searching information about political candidates and trending topics online.

In the coming weeks leading to the elections, Google will be curating and sharing Google Trends data reflecting the search interests relating to different political topics in Nigeria on a weekly basis.

For the first week of 2019 ( January 1 to January 8), the most searched political topics were relating to education, police, minimum wage, health and transportation.
