Nigerians can now make bitcoin transactions from anywhere in the world as Kenyan Bitcoin startup, BitPesa just expanded its remittance service to Nigeria and Uganda.
What this means, is that Nigerians can now earn and make digital transactions from foreign clients as the Bitcoin would then be converted to the desirable currency.
Bitpesa, which is now in four African countries after its first expansion to Tanzania last year, also launched BitPesa for Business – its new service which allows users to make multiple payments to different payees through one transaction.
However, BitPesa for Business payments can be made direct to bank accounts, or to mobile money wallets.
BitPesa, is a startup which allows individuals to remit money in bitcoin then converts into physical currency. The startup secured US$1.1 million funding round in January this year.
