The first ever Startup Africa Summit will hold in Lagos in October under theme 'Building Critical Mass.'

The summit is being organized by CITC Global Consulting, Customer Passion Point Limited (CPPL) and Zoom Runner Technologies, to allow aspiring African entrepreneurs learn from experienced startup veterans.

If entrepreneurs must take their place as job creators and sources of sustainable economic development, more young Nigerians must be invited to take their place at the table by starting and growing businesses.

The summit will position startups entrepreneurs for networking with investors while they also have the opportunity to showcase their solutions.

Other add-ons of the summit include access to funding as well as other resources for promising entrepreneurs. And engagement with government officials about entrepreneurship policy.

The summit which also be an avenue for startups to exhibit their products and solutions is scheduled for October 28-29, 2015 in Lagos.

Most funding rounds that have been announced in the past few years have been led by investors from outside of Nigeria meaning the wealth created by these entrepreneurs will leave the country.

The summit aims address the lack of local funding sources for local fundable-startups, presenting them to high-networth Nigerians as viable ventures.
