If you have been trying to buy anything that isn't hardware from Apple, you should know that the App, iTunes and iBook stores are down for all iOS users right now.
Apple confirmed on its services status dashboard that the iOS and Mac App Stores, as well as the iTunes Store, are "unavailable for all users." You can search through the stores listings as though nothing happened, but you won't be able to buy or download anything.
As of now, Apple has not disclosed how far along it is in the recovery process, or when we can expect to access the stores again.
