This week has been an eventful one for the African tech ecosystem; from possible policies to CSI Miami-like moves, we had quite a bit to discuss on today's Techpoint Africa Podcast.

Let's start with some "good news". The Lagos State government has revealed that it will be adopting the proposed Startup Bill. Tunbosun Alake, Special Adviser on Innovation and Technology to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, said this at the Co-Create 2022 Tech Expo in Lagos.

If you ask Emmanuel, all of this is virtue signalling, and he has some valid reasons.

From there, we talked about the National Information Technology Development Agency's (NITDA) draft Code of Practice for online platforms. Let's just say there was a lot to unpack here, especially regarding the provisions of the Code. And there's also the fact that we've seen things like this not see the light of day.

Moving on, the last story on our list was Kenya's newly minted National Forensic Laboratory. We had Bolu take this, a refreshing change from his usual blockchain circuit, and Oluwanifemi had some dissenting views here. Think digital identity and other related foundational issues, and you might hit the mark.
