Techpoint Africa Digital Currency Summit

It takes more than reading to make sense of Web3; it requires an experience, which is what the Techpoint Africa Blockchain Summit wants to simulate. We want to, with this experience, help you find your space as the new Internet age approaches.

Aptly themed, Web3: Engineering tomorrow’s Internet, this event will help Africa realise the opportunities present in the blockchain ecosystem and how Africans can harness the technology to its full potential.

There are 14 days until the continent’s biggest Web3-focused event, and here is our plan to guide you on your path of discovering the future of the Internet.

Here’s what to expect at the Techpoint Africa Blockchain Summit

TABS Web3 Hackathon

Despite its nascency, some Africans are already seizing the opportunities for innovation the Web3 space offers. And the TABS Web3 Hackathon wants to recognise and reward them for the strides they have made.

The Hackathon will showcase Web3-based solutions for different sectors on the continent. The top three winners will be selected by judges experienced in building Web2 products and learning the ropes of Web3.

Breakout sessions

Techpoint Africa Blockchain Summit speakers

We have carefully created interest-based breakout sessions tailored to address specific needs and questions about the blockchain/Web3 ecosystem to give you the freedom to choose what interests you.

During these sessions, we’ll get down to the nitty-gritty of topics such as decentralised finance (DeFI), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralised autonomous organizations (DAOs).

However, if you’re more concerned about building a career in the space, there’s a breakout session suited to that topic.

Interestingly, the sessions will be held simultaneously in separate halls to foster audience-speaker interactions that simulate the experience of moving through the Web3 space and finding just where and how you fit in.
