Justice for Moradeun
Earlier in the week, the tragic news of the death of a lady named Moradeun Balogun spread through the Nigerian social media space. Moradeun was reportedly attacked by unknown robbers on her way home from work and stabbed in the neck.
According to reports, she was rushed to R.Jolad Hospital, located in the Gbagada area of Lagos, where she died as a result of negligence by the hospital authority. Apparently, they requested for a police report before she could be attended to, as mandated by the law.
The hospital has come forward to refute these reports claiming that Moradeun's case was too severe for them to handle and so they had to refer her to the state-run Gbagada General Hospital located about five minutes away.
