Google announced it will be increasing prices on its G Suite collection of applications for the first time since inception.
G Suite is a collection of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools first launched on August 28, 2006.
Some of the most popular apps and software in the collection include; Gmail, Hangouts, Calendar, and Google+, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Sites.
According to TechCrunch, "in the United States the prices of G Suite Basic and G Suite Business editions will increase by $1 and $2 per user/month, respectively, while increases in other regions will be adjusted according to the local currency and market. G Suite Enterprise pricing will remain the same."
The new prices will take effect from April 2nd 2019.
Sources report that the increase is necessary because Google says it has increased the value delivered in G Suite apps and software and software collection.
