Popular blogger Linda Ikeji is taking her TV arm, Linda Ikeji TV (LITV) beyond YouTube. She is set to take on the likes of iROKOtv with the launch of an online streaming service with the same name.

LITV was set to launch on June 1, but was rescheduled to launch today due to a few delays.

"To be honest, there are still so much content to upload for your viewing pleasure but I figured if we continue to wait to upload everything we have, it will take a few more weeks and I'm too impatient for you guys to see what we've done so far!" she wrote in the blog post annoucing the launch.

LITV will feature original reality shows, TV shows and movies including titles like Oyinbo Wives of Lagos, Magodo Mums and Their Single Friend, King Tonto, Ice Prince: Rise and Grind, Toyin Abraham: True & Bare, Annabel, Double Trouble, Life's Lessons, Verified among others. As expected, you'd have to pay a premium to access these shows.

Over the past months, the blogger has been releasing snippets of some of the shows on social media. The reality shows especially promise to be drama-filled, an attempt to change reality TV in Nigeria as we know it.

Linda Ikeji has been known to be very ambitious but then again, her fortune didn't come from playing it safe. In 2016, she launched Linda Ikeji Social (LIS), a social networking platform which reportedly garnered about 86,000 signups in six days. Despite the promise of monetary incentives for users, LIS could not live up to its initial success.

In addition to LIS, Linda Ikeji's business has a music arm -- Linda Ikeji Music and an online radio -- Linda Ikeji Radio which like LIS, do not seem to have gotten much traction.

Could Linda Ikeji TV become a huge success compared to her previous attempts? Time will tell.
