Unemployment remains a huge problem that plagues most developing countries and a lot of social vices have been associated with it. The latter range from poverty, armed robbery, corruption, to rural-urban migration. Despite that several initiatives have been set up to tackle this challenge, it still persists.
This is probably why co-founders, Jaiyeola David (CEO) and Chris Nwasike (CTO) intend to contribute their quota towards the eradication of unemployment in Nigeria by founding Worka.nG
The startup debuted its online platform on December 1, 2017, to basically bridge the gap between employers and employees. Services rendered by Worka.nG include; testing and validating of applicants, CV re-writing, and matching pre-screened employees with suitable employers.
We believe that there are jobs but the candidates are not qualified for the positions. Worka.nG is an online platform that is trying to groom graduates and make their CV look attractive to employers" -- David
According to David, the platform also helps to satisfy the needs of employers by relieving their usually tedious recruitment process and providing suitable candidates. "The way we test our candidates is unmatched with any other platform,” he told Techpoint.
Job seekers looking to utilise this service have to first, register on the platform, then upload their CVs (which will be re-written to employers’ specification) and proceed to take series of tests which would be used in ranking, thereby making it easier for employers to recruit. The founders claim to have about 100 employers registered already on the platform.
If you are currently seeking a suitable employer or employee, visit the online platform.
