Instead of settling for a high-profile job in a chemical-related firm, Nwosu Friday, a chemical engineering graduate, founded Yesharvest to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to users in their homes on weekends. According to him, the startup will ease the tedious process of getting these commodities from the market.

Since its launch on August 7, 2016, Okeke Innocent (Chief Operating Officer) has worked passionately with Friday (CEO) to oversee the operations, communication and growth of Yesharvest.

How Yesharvest worksYesharvest website

On the web platform, users are to select their choice fruits and vegetables on or before Thursdays and expect delivery to their homes on Saturdays -- since Yesharvest delivers on a weekly basis. Yesharvest's modus operandi is a zero inventory model. As a result, fruits aren't stocked. They are sourced based on quantities ordered. This method not only avoids wastage it also retains the commodities' freshness.

Although Friday sees this model as their competitive advantage, it could be largely attributed to the fact that all fruits and vegetables on the platform are obtained from small-scale farmers.

In addition, all our fruits and vegetables are sourced from smallholder farmers, thereby helping them access local markets directly, providing guaranteed and constant income for them, empowering them and helping to eradicated food wastage caused by the activities of middlemen.

Yesharvest's mission is centred around one goal: to make it easy for everyone to have access to healthy meals of fruits and vegetables, both the privileged and the less privileged. To achieve this goal on the part of the less privileged, the startup pledges donation on every subscription from a privileged customer.

If you wish to order some fresh fruits and vegetables, head to the website immediately.
