SlateCode is an online marketplace that connects web developers, engineers, programmers, coders, architects, to clients needing their services.
Co-founders Akinwumi Fakokunde (CEO), Sesu Raj (CTO) and Adedeji AbdulMajeed AbdulRaheem (COO) launched SlateCode in March 2017.
How SlateCode works
SlateCode services two categories of audiences; developers who wish to offer their services and clients who want to hire developers. According to Akinwumi Fakokunde, the process of recruiting developers on the platform is straight forward. He also stated that remuneration for projects executed is highly encouraging.
The founders claim that top companies and startups hire software developers from SlateCode for their most mission-critical projects. What’s more interesting is that the team particularly boasts of being able to provide clients with the top 3% of software developers in Nigeria. For a startup, this is rather too promising. Especially with already established competitors like Toptal, Gun.io and Andela.com. Apparently, the founders have figured that this won’t come easy. However, they are bent on proving their worth and getting the needed market attention.
Moreover, one of their value proposition involves training of fresh graduates to become world-class software developers. Considering that only very few of their competitors have toad that line, they could have a standout point after all.
