Ajo is a location-based mobile app that helps people discover and review places, local businesses, as well as share personal opinion and experiences about these places. As expected, these places include where to eat, hotels, tourist attractions and any point of interest.

Ajo

Designed to function as a social networking app, it was launched on the 17th of January by the duo of Sulaimon Ajibode (Founder/CEO) and Adeniyi Olayemi (CTO) to be much more

While Ajo automatically detects user’s location, recommends places and things to do within their proximity, users can also recommend places that are not yet available on the app.

“The crowd-sourced reviews of places and local business would in turn help improve the customer relations from business owners, as that would have a direct impact on their business activity,” Sulaimon Ajibode affirms.

Impressions

Ajo will particularly come in handy especially when people find themselves in unfamiliar terrain. But considering that its biggest competitor in that realm is the ‘almighty’ Google Maps, it will be interesting to see how Ajo can  differentiate itself to gain market advantage.

Ajo is currently available for both Android and iOS. You can also visit the website to learn more about the app
