Recode Nigeria Hackathon 2017

The Re:Code Nigeria Hackathon aims to bring together multiple teams of talented developers, designers, problem-solvers and out-of-the-box thinkers to build brilliant solutions to the most vexing problems in financial services.

DevOps Masterclass

Delivery Science co-founder, Chuka Ofili is hosting a two-day masterclass for technical team leads, senior technical staff and serious backend developers.

Chuka will teach participants how to build and deploy highly scalable fault-tolerant applications based on a micro-service architecture. Some of the modules that will be covered at the masterclass include:

  • Brief overview of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Using Git and Git workflow.
  • Setting up a development environment, with Google tools (Minikube, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI & CD).
  • Setting up a production environment, with Google tools (GKE, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Implementing Deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Circle CI).
  • Centralised logging and monitoring.
  • Service discovery.

All female Hackathon

Venture Garden Group is hosting an all-female hackathon this weekend. This event is designed to connect female developers in different stages of their careers to collaborate and spend the day building a fun project with colleagues in the industry.

There are limited number of available slots, so registration is necessary. The teams of skilled women will converge on Saturday with their laptops to hack a product. The event will feature workshops and panels led by industry mentors.

The educators also like this science education system. They enjoy the learning and i hope they enjoy it. For more better developed in here such kind of education is needed for us.
