ChildMinder is an online platform (web and mobile app) that offers access to smart and professional child care providers. Hence, the startup bridges the gap between parents looking for childcare and individuals who can provide these services, at affordable prices.
Being parents themselves, the founders Chika and Funmi Uzor, having understood the problems that parents encounter -- launched ChildMinder in May 2016.
Chika and Funmi strongly believe that ChildMinder will revolutionise the childcare industry, by combating these challenges:
- Lack of qualified and properly trained child care professionals
- Absurd charges by local agents who provide the nannies.
- Difficulty in accessing efficient childcare providers in Nigeria
- Direct access to childcare providers to prospective clients without the fear of ‘middle-men’.
This would not only help deliver on a value proposition but also support any strategic aspirations the government may have in this regard.
Asides fulfilling its primary value proposition, the platform will also publish rich content and advice on child legislation, child safety, home security, children charities, review children’s products and run commentaries on issues affecting children today. You can find out more on the website.
