In order to bring you even closer to the tech industry in Nigeria, we are introducing Techpoint AMA Live Sessions (#TPAMA). This live-streamed video series will be host to high-profile tech industry players who will be open to answering any of your questions regarding their career, personal life, fears and goals.
The maiden edition of Techpoint AMA Live Sessions will feature Seun Onigbinde, the CEO of BudgIT, a civic organization that applies technology to intersect citizen engagement with institutional improvement, to facilitate societal change.
Seun Onigbinde is an award-winning social entrepreneur and open data analyst. Trained as an engineer, he worked in the banking industry for some years before he founded BudgIT in 2011. This startup has implemented some tools such as Fitila and Tracka in order to track community projects and promote data journalism. They have collaborated with both the private and public sectors across the country.
Interestingly, BudgIT just recently raised over $3 million in grants from the Omidyar Network and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
