Lately, the zeal to adopt the integration of technology to business operations is awakening as some local and foreign organizations are rising to expose Nigerian SMEs to advanced tech-based business tools that could skyrocket their efficiency.
In light of this, 200 SMEs will be gathering this month in a conference hosted by Vconnect and Facebook in Ikeja, Lagos. The SME Conference will explore the interaction between the latest internet tools, technologies and SMEs.
Over a dozen invited industry experts would give practical guides and actionable solutions to entrepreneurs, coupled with the opportunity to intimate conversations and network with these industry masterminds.
Since one of the major challenges that has shut down operations of many SMEs in Nigeria is funding, Meher Melwani, head of communications at Vconnect assures participants of exposure to current trends in financing small businesses and innovative ways to get growth funding.
According to Jennifer Wong, Facebook's strategic product partnership manager, the conference will bring SMEs up to speed on resources and technologies available to them, and provide internet tools that would empower and get them set-up for greater productivity in 2017.
The conference is free. However, SMEs are required to register before 19th January, 2017. Further details will be communicated to the invited SMEs upon registration.
