Recently, the startup community in Yaba has been attracting quite a lot of attention.
Earlier in 2016, the community welcomed Adebayo Shittu, the then newly appointed Minister of Communication. Then in August, Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg also paid the community a visit.
Earlier today, Wednesday afternoon, Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode paid a courtesy visit to the iDEA Hub and Co-creation Hub (CcHub) in Yaba.

The governor commended the entrepreneurs he met greatly. He expressed appreciation for the work they are currently doing. In his own words, “You people are the future of Nigeria”.
Following this, he made a commitment to providing steady electricity and grants to Yaba startups.
